Ribbon Cutting Celebrates Improvement Projects for the Community at Hempstead Lake State Park!

The ribbon cutting, perfectly timed to kick-off summer, is part of a $47 million revitalization of the park that is being managed by Elite Construction Company of NY. The project includes a new observation tower with an elevated walkway that links park visitors to the Environmental Education and Resiliency Center. Other park improvements include a fishing pier, a kayak launch, improved ADA compliance, and walking, hiking, biking and equestrian riding trails that entice the community to connect with nature, seek adventure and enjoy the great outdoors.
