Westbury UFSD | Additions, Alterations, & Updates

These additions, alterations and upgrade projects were needed to fund expansion of both the middle and high schools, with a construction cost of $58.595M.

Scope of work for the high school includes 14 classroom additions, cafeteria addition with warming kitchen, alterations to science rooms, ceilings + floors + casework upgrades, intercom +fire alarm and security updates, roof replacement, boiler plant replacement, masonry restoration, electrical service upgrade, and parking lot reconstruction.

The middle school program consists of a 12 classroom addition, replacement of all existing roof surfaces, kitchen upgrades, new boiler plant, sitework improvements, electrical upgrades, public address, security and clock systems replacements.

Pre-construction services included constructibility reviews. Elite’s duties included tracking and management of project costs, schedule of activities, communications and other relevant data, monitoring construction activities, maintaining daily logs, submittal logs, and RFI logs. Elite is performing oversight of all mechanical system replacements, review of change orders, and coordination of construction work. Additional responsibilities include MWBE/EEO outreach, and indoor air quality management.
