Renovations managed by Elite Construction of NY promise to give Hempstead’s Prospect School students an event better place to learn after lightening strike causes significant fire and water damage. Michael Reed, CEO of Elite Construction Co. of NY, has stated the repairs to the two-story Prospect School have been intensive and extensive. The extensive damage to 22 classroom, along with other administrative and conference rooms has ultimately resulted in a reconstruction of the building. The work also includes adding new insulation, new floors, a new fire alarm system and repair of the wiring for technology and security systems. Additionally, many walls had to be removed, while beams, trusses and columns were replaced strategically as they were part of the original wood structure.
