Elite Construction of New York has been selected as the construction manager for the North Bellmore Public Library’s $8.9 million Renovation and Expansion Project. The library’s Board of Trustees officially appointed the company as its builder on Aug. 20, 2015.

As the on-site supervisor, Elite Construction of New York will oversee the construction of the library’s 4,000 square-foot addition, as well as renovations to its existing building. The enhanced facility will feature a new community room with an upgraded sound system and comfortable seating, an expanded children’s area with a dedicated bathroom, additional meeting room for community based activities and an enlarged space for teens.

The renovated facility will also serve as a community cultural and education center for all to enjoy.

In addition, the renovated library will have new energy efficient lighting, windows and mechanical systems, more public computers, and comfortable attractive seating in its quiet reading areas. The additional space will enable the library to continue to provide its patrons with a high level of service, while offering additional programs and services.
