Roosevelt Union Free School District (RUFSD) | Reconstruction & Improvements

The flagship project of the District Facility Construction Program, Elite Construction provided the complete renovation of 196,000 SF, plus 26,000 SF of new additions, 10 new science rooms with 4 fusion labs, athletic field overhaul, and a kitchen expansion.

The scope of work included all new MEP systems, utility service, and gas, water, and electric distribution. Other tasks included the complete renovation of the 708 seat auditorium, including air conditioning, sound system, acoustical treatment, theatrical scenery and lighting. Three new additions were also included: a library/ media wing, new gym wing, and cafeteria/ kitchen expansion. 1200 new lockers were also installed for the students.

The project included extensive masonry reconstruction, façade replacement, and roofing repair and replacement. The athletic fields upgrades included field lighting, a new track and field, tennis courts, and bleachers. Parking lots were reconstructed to provide an easy flow for parents and buses including new site drainage and site lighting.

Additionally, Elite Construction assisted in the coordination of vacating the facility during construction, and the reoccupation of the school as part of our facilities management.
